A mother described how, after being ambushed with a taser by a group, she used a can of Raid to set fire to a home invader's face.

The flammable liquid from the can of fly spray ignited when it came into touch with the sparks from the taser, creating a wall of flames as Tiffany Kendon, 21, from Wishart, Brisbane, heroically used it to repel one of the attackers when they broke into her home on Tuesday night.

The young mum claimed that the experience had "traumatized" her and that she had feared for her life.

Her bedroom on the second floor of the home, where her one-month-old boy and two-year-old child were present, was invaded.

Following a car crash directly in front of her home on Monday, a handgun was dropped in some nearby bushes, leading to the horrifying home invasion.

According to what appears to be a story that was fabricated by someone present at the event, the two guys responsible were convinced Tiffany had taken the gun. Next, the three went into Tiffany's house.

The room where Tiffany's sons were sleeping was approached by a masked man with a taser.

'It never happened. They were told I saw the gun and I talked to police,' she told the Courier Mail.

'They came in the front door and the back door, three of them, all in their 20s.’

'They were yelling at us, 'give us our gun back, we know you have it, where's our f---ing gun'.

'The main guy came upstairs with a taser and I was like, 'get the f--- out, I have a newborn, get out of my house.'

When she unleashed the bottle of Raid, she claimed she was merely attempting to get the man away from her.

'I thought I could push him down the stairs, but then I saw the can of spray.’

'I sprayed him in the eyes and he clicked the taser at the same time and it went up in flames.’

'I then had a 1.5m flame on me and pushed him down the stairs.'

Officers went to Tiffany's house on Sunday to look for additional evidence after the three males ran away but were not caught.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about either of the incidents that occurred on October 31 or November 1 or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage that is relevant to get in touch with them.
