A brand-new four-part drama has landed on Netflix, and it’s already making waves with an incredible 100 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Fans of the mini-series, which features the highly acclaimed Stephen Graham, have flooded social media with praise, hailing it as the ‘best drama’ in recent memory.

Many viewers believe the show is so well-acted that it deserves major awards, with some saying, "Everyone involved is getting an Emmy."

The series is directed by Philip Barantini, best known for his work on Boiling Point, where he also cast Graham in a leading role.

It stars 15-year-old Owen Cooper, who makes his on-screen debut, alongside well-known actor Ashley Walters from Top Boy.

What sets this series apart is its impressive cinematography—each episode, which runs for an hour, is filmed in a single continuous take, making it a technical masterpiece.

The official synopsis describes the gripping storyline: "When a 13-year-old is accused of the murder of a classmate, his family, therapist and the detective in charge are all left asking what really happened."

The series, titled Adolescence, is now available for streaming on Netflix. It was co-written by Stephen Graham and Jack Thorne.

Discussing the inspiration behind the show, Graham shared his thoughts with Netflix: "One of our aims was to ask, 'What is happening to our young men these days, and what are the pressures they face from their peers, from the internet, and from social media?'"

He went on to emphasize the struggles young people face today, adding: "And the pressures that come from all of those things are as difficult for kids here as they are the world over."

Graham explained that rather than telling a familiar story about crime or domestic struggles, they wanted to take a different approach: "We could have made a drama about gangs and knife crime, or about a kid whose mother is an alcoholic or whose father is a violent abuser."

He further elaborated on their creative vision: "Instead, we wanted you to look at this family and think, 'My God. This could be happening to us!' And what's happening here is an ordinary family's worst nightmare."

As soon as the series dropped, fans took to Twitter to express their admiration for Adolescence.

One person was particularly moved, writing: "Finished #Adolescence, what an incredible show. We genuinely do not talk enough about the greatness of Stephen Graham. This final scene had me bawling,"

Praising Owen Cooper’s performance, another viewer shared their reaction: "The way he tried everything in his mental and physical capacity to intimidate her and to shut her up, is what scares me so so much about the next generation of 'men' … #Adolescence on netflix is truly a brilliantly crafted show."

A different fan was equally impressed, posting: "10 min into #Adolescence and the acting??? Everybody's getting an Emmy,"

Meanwhile, another viewer highlighted the show’s technical brilliance: "My goodness. Just watched the first episode of 'Adolescence' on Netflix. Anyone who's worked in film or tv will know just how unbelievably hard a long tracking shot is to do, let alone for an entire episode… what choreography!"
