Or perhaps the clever deceits in Now You See Me? Or even the sudden realization faced by Brad Pitt’s character in Fight Club?

No, the twist in question comes from none other than Crazy, Stupid, Love.

This standout film was released back in 2011 and features a stellar cast including Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, and Steve Carell.

The romantic comedy follows the life of Cal Weaver (played by Carell), who, after separating from his wife, begins a journey to rediscover his charm and ability to woo women.

Guiding him through this new chapter is Jacob (played by Gosling), a charismatic ladies' man. 

However, Jacob is taken aback when he is unexpectedly rejected by a woman named Hannah (played by Stone).

And then the twist unravels: Hannah not only pursues Jacob, but they also start dating and he finds himself genuinely falling in love.

The plot takes another turn when Jacob decides to meet her parents and, to his utter surprise, her father is none other than Cal.

This twist leads to a hilarious and unforgettable melee, involving several other intertwined characters such as David, portrayed by Kevin Bacon, who has been secretly involved with Cal's wife (Julianne Moore).
