What if The Walking Dead and Breaking Bad took place in the same universe?
What if Breaking Bad is actually a prequel to The Walking Dead, and it was Walter White who caused the zombie apocalypse?
We know, it's not a new fan theory. But for the benefit of those who are just hearing about it for the first time, Netflix has had a crack at trying to make you believe it.
Miss "Breaking Bad?"
Well, you can just watch the sequel to the instant-classic AMC show.
The only issue? It's not really the same show.
There's a ton of zombies, for one. Yeah, we're talking about "The Walking Dead."
For years, fans have suggested that the two shows were related.
Now, though, we've got some sort of official confirmation courtesy of Netflix.
Netflix has officially recognized the idea that "Breaking Bad" is set in the "Walking Dead" universe.
A new video from the streaming site looks closely at the theory.
If you're not hip to it, well, spoilers ahead.
You've been warned.
In the second episode of "The Walking Dead," we see Merle's drug stash.
That includes a small amount of a suspicious blue drug.
Blue meth, of course, was the hallmark of "Breaking Bad."
Blue meth actually didn't exist before "Breaking Bad" went on the air, so this isn't a coincidence.
Walter White's red Dodge also makes an appearance in the fourth season of "The Walking Dead."
It can't be a coincidence, right?
Merle also describes his drug dealer as a "janky little white guy" who uses a certain curse word.
Was it Jesse?
There's definitely plenty to think about here.
At some point, the coincidences become overwhelming. What do you think?
