Many people probably get chills when they hear the name Karen.

Unfortunately, they've come to represent whining and worse.

Whether it's their hairdo or their almost instantaneous capacity to erupt into an enraged rant.

Hell, the slogan has even been appropriated by the successful, international restaurant chain Karen's Diner.

It seems, though, that the unfortunate Karens of this world have been cruelly singled out.

They are not, by any means, the largest complainers, according to recent studies.

After doing some research, TrustPilot found that David was listed as the person with the most one-star reviews.

A bit over 20,000 Davids and 19,562 Pauls had submitted complaints with the lowest possible grade.

The following names on the list were John, Chris, Mark, and James. Sarah was the first female entry, receiving 13,971 one-star reviews.

Emma was the only other girl among the top 15.

It is rather bizarre that we have a name like Karen that is intended to describe women who complain or ask to speak to the manager when it looks like men sorely need a label like that to categorize all the complainers.

"When we delved into more specific categories, David came out top again for 1-star reviews in Electronics and Technology, Home and Garden, and Money and Insurance," TrustPilot said.

"Sarah left the most 1-star reviews in Beauty and Wellbeing and Shopping and Fashion."

Funny enough, Karen ranked 13th among those who left the most five-star reviews.

"Alex and Emma, who were 14 and 15 on the 1-star list, are nowhere to be seen in the top 15 for 5-star reviews," TrustPilot said.

"The most 5-star reviews in Beauty and Wellbeing were left by Sarah, David, and Karen, while Sarah and David also left the most 5-star reviews in Shopping and Fashion, along with Paul."

This challenges the stereotype associated with the name "Karen" and prompts us to consider whether similar labels should be applied to both genders when it comes to complaining behavior.

Additionally, the study reveals that individuals with the name "Karen" also leave positive reviews, emphasizing the complexity of human behavior and the limitations of stereotypes.
