At around 5 p.m. on Sunday, the boy was discovered in a brown outdoor garbage bin full of grass cuttings. According to local reports, a worried neighbor heard crying coming from the garbage can and opened the lid to find the baby within. In Grimsby, a newborn baby boy was found in a wheelie bin with his umbilical cord still attached.
According to Grimsby Live, the infant was spotted in a brown yard waste can on an estate at around 5 p.m. on Sunday.
According to reports, a worried neighbor heard sobbing coming from the bin and opened the lid to discover the infant among the grass cuttings.
It is understood that the boy is being treated in a hospital.
His young mother was also found and taken to the hospital, where she is being cared for by the appropriate authorities.
Humberside Police and East Midlands Ambulance Service responded quickly after being notified shortly before 5 p.m. on Sunday.
At least four police cars and vans, as well as two ambulances, were on the scene.
Police officers were spotted going door to door and interviewing homeowners who were shocked.
Within minutes, paramedics were on the scene, and a police cordon was set up.
An East Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We received a call at 4.58 pm on June 19, to a private address in Grimsby.”
"The caller reported a medical emergency. We sent two crewed ambulances and two patients were taken to Diana, Princess of Wales Hospital.”
Humberside Police told GrimsbyLive on Sunday: "Officers are in attendance at a property on Winchester Avenue following reports of concerns for safety earlier this evening (Sunday 19 June).”
"Assistance has been provided to those concerned. There are no issues or risks to the wider community."
Families and pensioners live in semi-detached and terraced homes on the calm street.
