9-year-old William Maillis is one of those geniuses who’s already in college. He graduated high school last year — while his peers finished fourth grade — and is currently enrolled in community college. After a year-long transition period, he’ll transfer to Carnegie Mellon University, where he plans to study to become an astrophysicist.
That’s all well and good. But wait till you hear his ultimate goal.
William Maillis isn’t your ordinary nine-year-old.
As a nine-year-old student, I would often go out and play with my friends and classmates. We enjoyed our childhood by exploring the world outside together with friends and family. But for 9-year-old William Maillis, planning for his bright future ahead is what matters most.
At only 6 months old, William was already able to identify words and numbersand by 7 months old, he was able to speak complete sentences. He was two when he was able to read, write and use multiplication, he could read Greek aged four and geometry at five. Today, at nine years old, William is already a student at the Community College of Allegheny County.
He is currently working on his theories of how the universe was created and aims of becoming an astrophysicist, with one goal: to prove God is real.
He wants to prove to everybody that God does exist
William, from Penn Township, Pennsylvania, told People: ‘I want to prove to everybody that God does exist.'
He will do this by showing that only an outside force could be capable of creating the universe.
His dad Peter agreed that his progress has been remarkable
His parents Peter and Nancy have detailed the incredible learning progress William made as a youngster.
Now studying at Community College of Allegheny County, Peter's history professor Aaron Hoffman said he has only noticed one difference between the nine-year-old and his other students.
Apparently, William is the only pupil who doesn't take notes instead, he listens, reads and absorbs the material.
