An entitled mother has taken to TIkTok to rage about an incident where passengers did not free up a spot for her toddler son on a packed London train.
Entitled Woman Outraged That No One Gave Up Seat For Toddler On Packed Train
We know how it goes, the pregnant, elderly, and disabled get dibs on first seats and the courtesy often extends to mothers with babies in their arms.
One particular woman wanted to milk that privilege for as long as she could and was appalled when her toddler son wasn't given the same treatment.
She was outraged that her son had to sit on the floor of a London train when no one gave up their seat to let them sit.
“All these people watching my baby sit on the floor in priority seats area!” she said.
She was traveling by Southern Rail Train where children under five can ride for free but adults have to pay their way to book a seat.
The website however does clarify that there are certain stipulations that come with this benefit.
“You can bring up to two children under five with you free of charge if you have a ticket – however they can only use a seat if it’s not needed by another passenger with a ticket”
TikToker Kelly however read that differently and decided that her child was also entitled to a seat regardless of whether there was one available.
Viewers saw right through this entitled behavior calling her out in the comments.
Some even asked why she couldn't have seated the toddler in her lap or given up her own seat to which she clarified that she herself was unable to find one and was standing throughout the journey.
Viewers were not happy with her attitude, saying, "Kids sit on the floor, adults have chairs. That's called respect."
“Life lesson: book tickets in advance with seating… why do you think your son take priority? Because you say so?”
Surprisingly however, not everyone was against Kelly and showed her a bit of support.
“Ppl saying ‘those seats are for the elders’ half of those ppl aren’t elders. I’d give up my seat for a mama with a kid, but that’s just how I’m raised.”
Kelly has since made her profile private but you can view her original video in a stitch by another user @blackfoxg here.
