In 2009, Natalie Suleman gave birth to octuplets, which made the news because there was only one other case of that happening in the United States where every baby was born alive.

Natalie's doctor, Dr. Kamrava, had transferred twelve embryos into her uterus, which was one of the reasons he later lost his medical license.

Apparently, just two or three embryos should have been transferred.

At the time of the birth, Natalie, who is divorced, had her six other children living with her.

She ended up naming her octuplets Noah, Maliyah, Isaiah, Nariyah, Jonah, Makai, Josiah, and Jeremiah.

Natalie was not quiet about the struggle involved in raising 14 children but was also very determined to make it work.

She had plans to return to school and be able to financially support her family without the help of public assistance.

"I know I'll be able to afford them when I'm done with my schooling. If I were just sitting down, watching TV and not being as determined as I am to succeed and provide a better future for my children, I believe that would be considered to a certainly degree selfish," she explained.

Natalie made several public appearances as a way of financial gain, including striking a deal to have her own reality TV show.

Eventually, she was featured in a Fox special, but a series was never created.

We loved watching the adorable octuplets grow up right before our eyes.

Do you feel old yet???

They just recently celebrated their eighth birthday, and they all seem to be doing so well.

They got to spend the day pigging out on vegan pizza and cake and running around the kids' gym.

It looks like it was a really fun birthday party!

Natalie now lives in a small, three-bedroom town house outside Los Angeles with all 14 of her children.

Having a child at any age presents challenges, but we're sure that life is a bit easier now that her kids can take on a bit more responsibility.

Not to mention that there are a lot less diapers to change!

We're happy that her family is doing so well these days!
