But our wishes are very predictable and well, one can even say that they are boring. But this woman from Roxboro, North Carolina, has a very daring and bold wish to fulfill for her 100th birthday.

Everyone has one wish that they want it to be fulfilled at least once in their life. One can consider it as a birthday wish or even make it to the bucket list. Normally these wishes include some career-related achievement or adventure to achieve in life. But this one woman from Roxboro, North Carolina, had a very unique birthday wish to fulfill.

To celebrate becoming a centenarian, Ruth Bryant wanted to fulfill her dream of being arrested once and spending time inside jail.
So when Ruth's friends and family gathered at Cambridge Hills Assisted Living Center to celebrate her born day, the woman was nowhere to be seen.

The reason behind her absence was that the police came to her place and knowing very well the reason for their visit, Ruth was more than happy to accommodate them.

"Are you Miss Bryant?" a deputy asked her as he approached the (very) senior citizen with a pair of handcuffs.
"It all depends on what you want!" replied the feisty woman.
"Here's what I want. I want you!" the deputy replied.
She even playfully tried to 'fight' off the Roxboro deputies.
"Don't kick me; I've got a bad knee!" said the deputy as Ruth got out of the police car. Ruth's retort? "I've got two bad knees!"

As a result of her sassy retorts, the police threatened to add extra charges of resisting arresting arrest and assault to her charge, and she was then carted off to jail.

Ruth was able to fulfill her goal of going to jail happily and was more than happy to get an orange jumpsuit and a criminal mugshot.
"I'm in the jail-house now!" she beamed, laughing and dancing, clearly over the moon at what had happened. "I finally got here!"

After her little adventure, Ruth was driven back to the place where she lives, to celebrate her birthday with friends and family in a more traditional way.
We should definitely commend the lady for getting her wish fulfilled successfully!
