YouTuber Ruby Franke, accused of child abuse, has made allegations against her own children. Her channel '8 Passengers' was shut down following her arrest in a disturbing case. Legal proceedings are ongoing.
Parenting YouTuber Ruby Franke Accuses Her Children Of Abuse
Ruby Franke, a parenting YouTuber who is accused of six counts of felony child abuse, has now accused her own children of being abused.
The mother of six originally became well-known because of her '8 Passengers' YouTube channel, which featured daily life updates with Shari, Chad, Abby, Julie, Russell, and Eve.
On August 30, Franke was detained in Ivins, Utah, when authorities claimed they found a malnourished infant with obvious injuries. However, the channel was shut down earlier this year.
Jodi Hildebrandt, the former YouTuber's business partner, was also detained on related allegations.
Her four minor children were given to the Department of Child and Family Services following a home search.
The mom-of-six made an appearance in court for a hearing on a shelter for the four youngsters via video chat from jail, according to the Daily Mail.
Franke continued by making stunning accusations about one of her kids.
The 41-year-old described how one of them allegedly abused other children in horrifying detail.
According to the YouTuber, one of her kids began viewing porn at the age of just three.
Additionally, Franke alleges that her child endured long-term sexual abuse by a younger sibling. She added that the two of them later started abusing other kids.
She claimed that her child confessed to sexually abusing 20 individuals in May, including cousins and neighbors.
Franke also claimed that her two children engaged in a "patting game" with one another, although she offered no supporting evidence for this assertion.
This accused abusive child "will need to be placed in a home with no other children," Judge Bazzelle continued.
As the mother of an accused victim was there, an attorney in the public viewing area got up to beg the judge to hear details regarding the molestation of another child.
The court, however, apparently refuted this and said that more information regarding the alleged abuse might be heard at a later date.
The Santa Clara-Ivins Public Safety Department said in a statement that on August 30, they learned of a child who needed help.
The infant was characterized as "emaciated and malnourished, with open wounds and duct tape around the extremities" in the statement.
The child was transferred to a neighboring hospital, and authorities also located another malnourished infant in a nearby residence who was taken there.
A Santa Clara-Ivins Public Safety Department officer said in an affidavit that Franke's 12-year-old kid had scaled a window and raced to a neighbor's house to request food and water.
According to the paper, the neighbor alerted police authorities after noticing duct tape on the child's ankles and wrists.
Franke was refused bail, and Judge Bazelle scheduled the next proceeding for a mediation session on September 15.
