Authorities say a conversation about teenage dating escalated into violence when parents clashed.
Couple Accused Of Shooting Teenage Girlfriend's Dad After He Objected To Their Kids Dating
A simple meeting between two sets of parents took a dark turn when it reportedly ended with a shooting, according to police.
The parents of a young teenage girl met with Luther and Angelica Madison on March 17. Their goal was to ask for help in keeping the Madisons' son away from their daughter, who they believed was too young to be dating anyone.
However, what started as a conversation soon escalated. Angelica is accused of handing her husband a gun, which he then allegedly used to shoot the girl's father.
While it's not confirmed how old the Madisons' son is, both teenagers involved are believed to be minors.
Police shared that things spiraled when a verbal dispute turned physical out on the street. At some point, Angelica Madison reportedly pulled a gun from her pocket and gave it to her husband during the fight.
The father of the girl was shot in the chest during the altercation. As of now, his current condition has not been made public, according to PEOPLE.

Authorities added that the victim’s wife was also threatened with the firearm during the chaos. Fortunately, she was unharmed.
Law enforcement officers responded to the scene after receiving a report of an aggravated assault on Osprey Point Drive in Harris County, Texas, where both suspects were later arrested.
Constable Mark Herman released a statement via Facebook saying: "Luther Madison II and Angelica Madison were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Luther was charged with two counts of Aggravated assault with a Deadly Weapon. His total bond was set at $100,000.00."

"Angelica Madison was charged with one count of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Her bond was set at $25,000.00 out of the 178th District Court."
Reports from Law & Crime state that the couple is scheduled to return to court on May 20.
Interestingly, this isn't the first time parents have made headlines over controversial behavior involving their kids. Michael and Heather Martin, who once ran the popular DaddyOFive YouTube channel, also faced legal trouble after posting extreme pranks on their children.
DaddyOFive, which attracted more than 175 million views on YouTube, was eventually shut down in 2018 after accusations of abuse surfaced.
Though the couple did not receive jail time, they were sentenced to five years of probation back in 2017.
Their case sparked a wider conversation about the ethics of family-focused content on social media.
Additionally, the Martins lost custody of two of their five children as a result of the court’s decision.
