Parents Stunned After A Creep In A Supermarket Offers Them $100K To Buy Their Daughter
Hellmuth Kolb, 85, allegedly tried to buy the young girl on August 16 at the Port Orange Winn Dixie grocery store in Florida, according to the Port Orange Police Department.
The parents called the police to inform them of the occurrence, and they then launched an inquiry.
According to the police, Kolb was then detained on August 25 and transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail.
Police also reported that Klob is a recognized sex offender who is presently on probation for "similar issues" and is not permitted to interact in any way with minors under the age of 18.
"Mr. Kolb should have simply stuck to just grocery shopping. Thanks to our SIU, Mr. Kolb did receive a complimentary ride in one of our air-conditioned Police cars, and a free stay at Hotel 92 [Volusia County Branch Jail]," police said in the Facebook post.
This was not Kolb's first try at something similar; in 2018, he approached a woman at a Walmart store and made her an offer of $200,000 to buy her eight-year-old daughter, according to FOX 35.
This horrifying incident followed a comparable event in Russia where a mother allegedly sold her seven-year-old kid for $8,224 after advertising the boy on a website for organ transplants.
Sources claim that the mother, Nargiza Aitmatova, sent her small boy to his "aunt" to pay off debts she had accumulated and to please her new husband, who didn't like her son.
Aitmatova, according to a source, turned up all of the child's official paperwork, including his "medical card, insurance policy, birth certificate, and migration card."
