Partner Of Woman Who Claims She Gave Birth To Ten Children Says He DOESN'T Believe The Babies Exist
The partner of a lady who claimed to have given birth to a world-record-breaking ten children says he doesn't think they exist.
Gosiame Thamara Sithole, 37, claimed to have given birth to decuplets in a luxury hospital in Pretoria, South Africa (7 June).
The apparent delivery is thought to have shattered the previous record of Halima Cisse of Mali, who gave birth to nine kids in a Moroccan hospital in May.
Tebogo Tsotetsi, the alleged father of Gosiame's ten children, has disclosed that he has been unable to confirm their existence.
According to Eyewitness News, a statement issued on Tebogo's behalf on (Tuesday 15 June) read: "Tebogo confirmed that he has not seen the decuplets and relied on his girlfriend who called to inform him of their birth. He made several attempts to visit his girlfriend and the babies but she has failed to disclose her whereabouts and the condition of their babies.”
"The current uncertainties and public discourse about the decuplets is of major concern to the family, especially in the absence of any proof of the decuplets existence other than telephonic and WhatsApp messages from the mother.”
"The family has resolved and concluded that there are no decuplets born between Tebogo Tsotetsi and Gosiame Sithole until proven otherwise and wishes to apologize for any inconvenience and embarrassment."
The Pretoria-based Mediclinic Medforum Hospital, where Gosiame claimed to have given birth, has since confirmed that she was not treated there.
Tertia Kruger, a spokesperson for Mediclinic hospital group, told TimesLIVE: "We can confirm that none of our facilities were involved in the obstetric care of this patient or her decuplets."
Tebogo went on to say that public donations to the family should be stopped until Gosiame has been identified and their existence has been confirmed.
It read: "We call on members of the public to stop donating money into any bank accounts for the decuplets.”
"We appreciate the public interests and support for the decuplets, and with no proof of their existence, we firmly believe it's in the interests of everyone to conclude that they do not exist until proven otherwise.”
"We will now shift our attention to finding Gosiame Sithole whilst praying for her safe return."
