Pastor Brings Home A Stranger's Baby. Then His Wife Looks Closer And Sees The Unimaginable
#1 One Stormy Night
Pastor Ronnie and Krystal Stewart were madly in love with 3 kids of their own when their lives changed forever on a single night. During a stormy day they noticed two baby boys laying in a trash can outside of their church!
#2 Instincts Kicked In
"We began imagining the night these boys were about to have as we were getting ready to go home to a warm, dry house." The seven-month-old and two-year-old had nothing but diapers on, and were instantly taken home with the pastor and his wife.
#3 Beautiful Blessing
The family soon found out the parents of the little boys were homeless themselves, living in a tent in a nearby forest. They knew their boys would be taken in by a loving family at the church, as they'd visited the soup kitchen for food plenty of times. "As we were leaving church Sunday morning, we were approached by the family with their social worker in the parking lot," the Stewarts GoFundMe page explained. "They told us that after investigating, the social worker determined the boys would be immediately removed from the parents. ..."
#4 No Government Assistance
"The parents asked if we would temporarily shelter the children to avoid foster care and needed an immediate answer. That was 5 months ago, and what was so unplanned & unexpected has turned into a beautiful blessing for our family. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support thus far. Since we are not foster parents we have received no assistance from the state to care for these boys. For those that have asked for us to set up a go fund me, it is truly an honor."
#5 They Need Your Help
"You will forever be a part of our family's miracle," the family continues. "Even though the boys have been in our care, finalization requires attorney, court, and filing fees estimated at $10,000. Our prayer is that our story inspires others to also take generous leaps of faith when your moment arises."
