#2 Best Picture Oscar

The Academy Award Oscar for 'Gone With The Wind' (1939) is a great piece of movie memorabilia. It made household names out of Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh and won all the major awards at the 12 annual Ceremony, including Best Picture. In 199, notorious eccentric musician Michael Jackson purchased the award for a whopping $1.54 million dollars. He admitted later that he didn't particularly like the movie but thought it was the only Oscar he would ever own, despite his role in 'The Wiz'.

#3 Dorothy's Dress

The Wizard Of Oz (1939) is one of the most memorable and watched movies of all time, and several pieces of the set and props have sold for a small fortune to enthusiasts over the years. Forget the girl and her little dog too. The wicked witch should have just taken the dress worn by Judy Garland instead. The simple dress worn in test shoots sold for over $1 million but the blue & white cotton outfit is the most valuable, recognizable, as well as most profitable item from the movie. It recently sold for $1.7 million.

#4 Dorothy's Ruby Slippers

Everything Judy Garland, as Dorothy, wore in 'The Wizard Of Oz'has turned to pure gold. Her ruby slippers are iconic but many pairs were used in the filming and most of the remaining ones are pretty beat up. The last pair did auction off for $700,000 in 2012.

If you're not so much into Dorothy and ruby slippers, the recently discovered and well-preserved costume worn by Burt Lahr as the Cowardly Lion, recently sold for $3 million to an unknown collector.

#6 The T-800 Endoskeleton

The robot from 'Terminator 2: Judgement Day' is famous for being the Terminator who travelled back in time to kill Sara Connor before she could give birth to the force behind the human resistance. While Arnolds fleshy Terminator might be more likeable, the endoskeleton is regarded as superior because it's not CGI created, but is in fact, a puppet. The model used in T@ sold for $488,750.

#7 Aragorn's Sword Anduril

In the 2003 movie sequel 'Lord Of the Rings, The Return Of The King' the most popular prop was the sword being swung around by Aragorn to try and kill the Orcs. Four copies of this sword were made and used for this legendary film but only one has surfaced after shooting. That sword went up on public auction and sold for $437,000.

#8 Captain Americas Motorcycle

The movie 'Easy Rider' in 1969 epitomized the rebellious lifestyle of the 60's and early 70s. Of the four motorcycles used to shoot the film, only one survived, Captain America's iconic chopper. The bike was actually demolished during filming and then rebuilt before it was sold at auction for $1.35 million. The other 3 bikes used in the movie were stolen from the set before the release and found later used as parts.

The dress is so iconic that the mention of Marilyn Monroe conjures up an image of her standing on the sewer grate with the dress blowing into the air. The scene from the film 'The Seven Year Itch' (1955) is unforgettable. The ivory colored cocktail dress was designed by fashion expert William Trivia and sold at auction in 2011 for $5.6 million!

Pianos are pretty common props in movies and every old saloon, tavern, or classy lounge has one. But few of them go on to become serious collector's items. This piano is so special because it is central to the plot of 'Casablanca' (1949). Most of the dialogue in the film is around the piano, where the iconic line is uttered, 'Play it again, Sam". Humphrey Bogart;s character even uses the piano to conceal the stolen transit papers. The 50 key upright was sold for $2.4 million in 2014.

Hepburn's most iconic role is that of Eliza Doolittle in 'My Fair Lady' and she had jaws dropping in theaters around the world when they saw her beauty in the white Ascot dress designed by Cecile Beeton. It sold at auction for almost $4 million and is considered to be one of Hollywoods most memorable costumes.

Seen in Both 'Goldfinger' in 1964 and 'Thunderball' in 1965, the 1965 Aston Martin DB5 proves that a car doesn't need time travelling capabilities to make a great movie collectable item. The on-screen car was decked out with an oil slick, ejector seat, and tire slashers. While those gadgets may not actually work in real life, the car sold for $4,107,560. Bond has always been known for his impeccable taste in cars but the Aston Martin may just stand above the rest.

#13 Doc Browns DeLorean

The Delorean car used in the 'Back To The Future' franchise (9185-90), is one of the most iconic movie props from the 80's. The one off auto was retrofitted to resemble a time machine and became the central theme to the popular trilogy. Seven DeLoreans were customized for the films but only three are known to remain with the record sale price being $541,000. You can rent one of the cars for $1,500 a day, but only for display purposes.

The light saber used in the movie 'Star Wars' (1977) sold for $750,000 even though there were dozens used for filming and several since. The one selling for the highest price is said to have actually been used by Luke Skywalker in the scene where he first turns on his Jedi Knight weapon.
