However, someone just found out that the small fellas truly serve a crucial function, and many are still in shock over it.
On TikTok, Dave Winford, who has more than 6,000 followers, frequently shares videos of his daily activities.
He recently posted a tape in which he explained the primary function of a nutcracker, which really floored everyone.

According to The Sun, Dave wrote: "I was today years old when I found out Nutcrackers crack nuts."

People can't believe that the well-known Christmas ornaments genuinely serve a purpose after seeing the little footage in which he demonstrated how to utilize the tiny device.
Even though it may sound absurd, some in the comments were astonished to learn that you can use them to crack nuts.
