The guest list included big names like David Spade and Adam Sandler, turning the event into a real who's who of comedy.

Photos from the party, shared on social media, show the comedy elite in attendance.

Spade, 59, even dubbed the event 'The Laugh Supper' in a social media post, a name coined by another guest, Jeffrey Ross.

Spade shared, "Happy birthday to Jim Carrey who has made me laugh on and off the field so many times. Such a cool dude. I rarely bust out the cake emoji but i will today."

Ross also chimed in with, "The Laugh Supper! Happy birthday Jim Carrey! We love you!"

It featured all the guests lined up on one side of the dinner table, with Carrey striking a humorous pose in the center.

The scene was reminiscent of Leonardo Da Vinci's iconic 'The Last Supper' painting.

Given Carrey's role in 'Bruce Almighty', this isn't his first brush with a divine theme.

The internet had a field day with the photo.

One comment joked, "Telling my kids this was Jesus Christ and his apostles."

Others couldn't get over the sheer star power at the party, with one saying, "Wow! To have been a fly on that wall..." and another adding, "Damn - so many legends at one table."

Someone else continued with the biblical theme, saying, "Oh my god this is so epic I can’t even take it. This is like the last supper of comedians."

Carrey has been hinting at stepping back from acting and even talked about retiring.

In a 2022 interview with Access Hollywood, he mentioned: "Well, I’m retiring - yeah, probably - I’m being fairly serious."

"It depends. If the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road, but I’m taking a break."

He added that he might consider returning for a golden script sent by the angels, but for now, he's on a break.

Reflecting on his career, Carrey shared, "I feel like - and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists - I have enough. I’ve done enough. I am enough."
