A professional exorcist Stephen Rossetti says that people that get tattoos of demons are more susceptible to getting possessed and calls the practice “extremely stupid.”
Tattooing and goth culture often intersect at multiple points and demonic tattoos have become incredibly common among those that enjoy the lifestyle.
A professional priest and exorcist, Stephen Rossetti however thinks the practice to be dangerous.
The Monsignor who has 12 years of experience dealing with the supernatural and demonic has released a book “Diary of an American Exorcist – Demon, Posession and the Modern-Day Battle Against Ancient Evil”.
He has shared stories of people waking up with claw marks on their skin and that demons also have the ability to send text messages and taunt the people they’ve targeted.
In one of these stories, Monsignor mentions that a young man who was possessed by a demon happened to have an image of a demon tattooed on his arm.
He says that tattooed people dealing with demonic possession have become a common occurrence in his profession.
“I’ve had more than one. They come to us.”
One particular demon that finds its way out through tattoos is Aka Manah.
“And he and his little cult friends were all into this cult of Aka Manah, and had a lot of occult knowledge about people they were attacking, including one of my clients. And it was very evil.”
Stemming from Zoroastrian mythology, the demon preys on sensual desire.
Another popular image is that of a goat with horns which indicates the true son of satan.
He also says that some of his more common patrons also get upside-down crosses.
“Essentially, Satan is claiming this person by this upside-down cross. What the people do when they put demons on their arm, they’re basically saying, ‘I’m a cow’, in terms of this guy is a pastor, ‘I basically belong to this demon’.
“So it’s incredibly stupid. You’re basically saying ‘I belong to the dark world and to these demons’.”
He did however say that there were ways of dealing with these things. One way is to use his app to decommission the tattoos.
“On our app you’ll see a prayer to decommission tattoos, so we’ll use that prayer, which has a powerful effect, and then of course we have to go through all the exorcism rituals.
“But once you have bonded yourself to Satan, this is going to be a fight. Don’t think that I’m just going to wave my hands and it’s going to be over. We’ve spent months with people like this.”
When asked how long a curing process could take, he said that it depends.
“A case of full possession, we’re talking six months or two years typically.”
With Samhain and Halloween having just passed, he urges people to practice caution.
