Cameron Robbins was just 18 years old when he disappeared.
A video showing a missing teenager who allegedly jumped off a cruise ship has captured the attention of viewers, who claim to have noticed a chilling detail in the footage.
It has been over a year since Cameron Robbins vanished during a celebratory trip to the Bahamas after his graduation in May 2023.
Robbins, 18 at the time, was with friends on the Blackbeard's Revenge cruise on May 24, but he did not return to shore with the group.
It is believed that Robbins jumped from the ship on a dare, and there is video footage from that evening that shows him going overboard.
The last sighting of Robbins was in the dark waters before he disappeared from sight, triggering an extensive search by the US Coast Guard and the Royal Bahamas Defence Force.
Despite several days of searching, Robbins was tragically presumed dead following the event.
When the footage of Robbins surfaced, viewers started scrutinizing the video for more details.
Several people believe they spotted a shark under the boat just as Robbins jumped.
One viewer insisted: "The video doesn't lie, he was attacked by a shark and taken under."
Another viewer pointed out: "You can see the shark to the left of the video."
Meanwhile, a third was certain they 'saw the fin' in the brief video.
Raymond King, Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) Commodore, confirmed the area where Robbins jumped 'is really shark infested'.
King highlighted the grim survival odds, stating: "The probability of survival decreases significantly particularly if a person did not have on a life vest and particularly if a person is perceived to be intoxicated."
He reiterated: "I can tell you that area where an individual reportedly jumped over, it's an area that is really shark infested as well."
Robbins was remembered by his family and friends as 'funny and kind-hearted'.
He was also a passionate baseball player and his coach described him as a 'fierce competitor'.
Kevin George, the University Lab School Director, expressed the community's concern to WAFB: "Words fall short of expressing the worry our entire school community is feeling.
"Extra counselors will be available on campus to speak with students and faculty who are struggling to process this news. Our thoughts are with the Robbins family, and we ask that you keep them in your thoughts as well."
Shark expert Kevin McMurray provided insights into what Robbins' final moments might have been like.
"At the beginning of it, it looks like there is a shark or something," he told The Mirror.
"He's in the water and over to the left you can see it. So my analysis, what I think happened is, he got in the water and he was swimming around, the shark, for some reason, or whatever it is - I'm not for sure saying it is a shark, but it looks a lot like a shark - essentially it comes and surfaces and there's a life ring out to his right. So he's looking at whatever popped up out of the water, and instead of swimming toward the life ring he turns around at that point. I think all that splashing we see is just him trying to get away from whatever it is."
The mystery surrounding the Louisiana teen's fate since he jumped into the water, purportedly on a dare, during a sunset pirate-themed cruise remains unresolved.
"It's always possible [that sharks could attack]," McMurray added.
"My guess is that if something like that did occur, maybe a single bite or something like that, more than likely, again you can't say because anything's possible, but exposure would probably be what I think would have occurred and he may have died of that. Either he sank or a shark ate his body, that's possible."
He concluded: "There are a lot of tiger sharks there, and they'll scavenge. They're the ones on Jaws that had the license plate tag in their stomach, so they'll eat anything. It's always possible that he could have been consumed, after the fact."
