Jenna Jameson, a former adult film star diagnosed with severe muscle weakness in 2022, defied her grim prognosis. She left the hospital, embraced a ketogenic diet, and sought therapy, finding hope and improvement in her health.
Playboy Model Jenna Jameson Shares Health Update After Being Given One Year To Live
Many individuals take their health for granted, so learning that you don't have as many years left to live can be a painful experience.
A former Playboy model who was given less than a year to live had to go through that.
Jenna Jameson, 49, a former pornstar who appeared in 35 films during a fifteen-year period, has earned the title "Queen of Porn."
The actress, who had decided to retire in 2008, afterward became a "webcam model," creating all of her own videos, much like the OnlyFans makers.
However, a mysterious ailment that has gripped her body and affected her capacity to walk has forced her into a fight for her life.
Fox News Digital has since received an explanation from Jameson's officials as to how it all started.
According to reports, the model was diagnosed with "extreme muscle weakness" in 2022. According to medical professionals, this condition could have been caused by "a number of other illnesses/diseases," but no one was sure what it was.
Her tests came back negative, which caused the singer to be perplexed about her symptoms, even though it was suspected that they could have included conditions like Guillain-Barré syndrome and blood cancer.
She revealed to Entertainment Tonight that "it started very suddenly," adding that she initially did well despite the onset of symptoms.
She explained: "I was doing very well, and then I just started collapsing and lost my ability to walk … they admitted me into the hospital. I think I spent about nine months in the hospital."
But then Jameson suffered a setback when she learned from physicians that she only had six months to a year left to live.
"When I was first told that I didn't have very long to live, I think I just balled up," she admitted.
"I didn't really know how to digest that."
Jameson made the decision to leave the hospital on her own rather than wait any longer for a diagnosis or a reduction in symptoms.
"I finally got to the point where I was like, 'I have to take my health into my own hands,' so I put myself in a wheelchair and I wheeled myself out of the hospital," she confessed.
"I ended up just taking everything into my own hands and making it happen. I knew that I still had so much life left to live."
The formerly active adult actor then made the decision to pursue a holistic approach to her health, going on a ketogenic diet and attending therapy.
She explained to Entertainment Tonight: "I was having a lot of memory issues and I lost years and years and years of my life, so I started going to a cognitive therapist that puts you through puzzles and all these things, and everything just started reconnecting.”
"I feel myself coming back to life when I eat correctly, keto wise. I feel energetic."
Jameson's representative told Fox News Digital that although her diet and counseling have "greatly helped," she still "isn't 100% better but feels more optimistic about her future now."
