29-year-old plumber loses job after harsh comments on Arlette Amuli's YouTube dating show.
Plumber Loses Job After Roasting People Who Rejected Him On YouTube Dating Show
A plumber named Aaron says he lost his job after a video of him on a YouTube dating show went viral.
The show, hosted by Arlette Amuli, is called 'Pop The Balloon Or Find Love.'
The idea behind the show is pretty simple. A guy meets a line of ladies, and if a lady isn't interested in him, she pops the balloon she's holding and explains why.
In one episode, 29-year-old Aaron appeared near the end of the one-hour-17-minute video.
He told the host he was looking for a woman who "wasn't promiscuous and has a career going for herself."
Aaron also said that being "not cleanly" was a big "dealbreaker" for him.
Aaron then talked to a woman named Karma, who immediately popped her balloon.
Karma, who is 24 years old, said she just wasn't "fully attracted" to Aaron. Aaron replied, "The feeling is definitely mutual so that's OK, you did me a favor."
After this, another woman named Tara said she didn't like how Aaron spoke to Karma.
Aaron responded to 22-year-old Tara by saying, "If I saw you in public, I wouldn't reach out to you."
The show continued with Aaron meeting more women who rejected him. Each time, Aaron had something to say back to them.
Even though many women popped their balloons and there were lots of arguments, Aaron eventually left the show with a 23-year-old woman named Esther.
The YouTube video, which has more than 1.5 million views, has gone viral on social media platform X.
Now, Aaron says he's been fired from his job because of the video.
On Instagram, Aaron wrote on Monday (June 17): "All this clout chasing got me fired from work.
"Man, I really love plumbing and I'm good at it & they got that taken away from me.
"Y'all are sick they called the company 500xs and are messing up business."
After Aaron shared this news, many fans of Amuli's channel talked about it on social media.
One person wrote: "I hate how he acted on the show, definitely not cool, but to call his job and get him fired is some bs this his livelihood, I just think you don't mess with how someone eats ijs."
A supportive fan said: "You have a skill that's always needed.
"You don't need the company." Another person commented: "This is sad.
"Someone gives the same energy that was given and people get so upset that he loses his job?!?!!!
"Social media takes things entirely too far SMH." A fourth person was doubtful, saying: "Hmmm I doubt that. Could be a tactic to get money from us."
Someone else remarked: "It's plumbing… it's needed everywhere. "Get another job lol."
Aaron's experience shows how social media can have a big impact on people's lives, sometimes in unexpected ways
