Bryson Kliemann, 8, from Southwest Virginia, is an avid Pokémon fan and has been collecting cards since a young age.

However, the kid noticed that his dog Bruce was not looking well for few days and the family had to rush the animal to the vet.

“He wasn't coming out of his cage and being the normal puppy he usually is. He was very lethargic, just not doing good,” Woodruff told Local 12 News.

The vet diagnosed Bruce with parvovirus and the family was told that they need to arrange $700, a price that the family had no means to arrange for.

However, Bryson knew that nothing in the world could exchange his love for his beloved pet and so the little decided to take the matter into his own hands and making an emotional decision of parting with his favorite cards collection, he set up a stand outside his house. The ultimate goal was to raise money for Bruce's treatment.

"I know everybody likes Pokémon cards so I just decided to sell them," Bryson said.

He also made a large sign that said “4 sale Pokémon” in order to let people know about his stall in the hopes people would purchase them off him.

The game-changing moment was when the kid's mom created a GoFundMe page to help her son raise enough money.

The GoFundMe target was set at $800 to cover Bruce’s treatment but this was exceeded to a whopping $5,500.

Bryson said: “I'm happy he's home, and I'm proud of myself. Now my brother and sister are playing with him too, and now I'm really playing with him pretty often."

Being the good-hearted kid that he is, Bruce kept the remaining money for Bruce's future vaccinations and the rest for other sick dogs in the community, WCYB reported.

The story does not end here. Bryson's heart-touching story somehow reached the people at Pokémon, who were so touched by the story that they invited him up to the HQ in Bellevue, Washington.

The company even sent him some new cards replacing the old ones in his collection.

The Pokémon employees sent a letter saying:

"Hey Bryson, we were so inspired by your story about selling your cards for your dog's recovery, these are some cards to help you replace the ones you had to sell."
