In his latest effort to address the allegations, Malone, whose real name is Austin Richard Post, participated in an interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, which was released on Wednesday, the 26th. While the conversation covered various topics such as parenting, social anxiety, and his relationship with alcohol, it eventually turned to his past experiences with drugs. Speaking about the ongoing concerns, the "I Like You" rapper shared his thoughts on the matter.

“I mean, first off, I shouldn’t have to really justify anything to anyone, but I appreciate the concerns that people. But then it just goes from like, ‘Hey, I hope he’s fine.’ But then the rumor starts that I’m doing hard drugs, which I’ve never done in my entire life.”

Although Malone claims to have avoided using heavy drugs, he openly admitted to relying on alcohol to assist him in the music-making process.

“But now, if I do drink and I’m not doing a show or recording… And yeah, that’s another. I have a very hard time expressing myself via recording if I’m not a little f***ed up. It’s a good spot now because if I’m not recording, or I’m not talking to people, or if I’m not doing shows, I really do drink just to have fun.”

The most recent instance where the "White Iverson" artist had to confront speculations about drug use was during his Europe tour in April. As reported by The Blast, Malone posted a picture on Instagram, showing himself standing next to a pair of combat cowboy boots.

In the caption of the photo, he addressed the situation: “hello everybody, I hope you’re having a great night. i wanted to say that i’m not doing drugs, i’ve had a lot of people ask me about my weight loss and i’d suppose, performance on stage. i’m having a lot of fun performing, and have never felt healthier.”

"I guess dad life kicked in and I decided to kick soda, and start eating better so I can be around for a long time for this little angel.

"Next up is smokes and brews, but I like to consider myself a patient man.”

During his conversation with Lowe, Post Malone confessed that he used to consume a significant amount of hallucinogenic mushrooms in the past. However, he decided to stop using them as he noticed they were beginning to impact his short-term memory.

"Maybe it was just a stint of habitual overuse. Daily," he mused.

He went on to reveal that he achieved his new appearance by making significant changes to his diet, which involved cutting out soda and adopting healthier eating habits. His motivation for these changes was to be there for his "little angel," whom he welcomed in 2022, for a long time.

“Having a baby really put a lot into perspective, and it’s really slowed me down a lot, party-wise, going out and being crazy. But it’s the most beautiful thing and, I don’t know,” he told host Zane Lowe about being a dad.

Furthermore, Malone revealed his intention to quit smoking and drinking next, acknowledging that accomplishing these goals might take more time. “you make my heart beat. i just wanted to say hi, and hopefully i’ll be posting more on here, my brain is in a super dope place, and i’m the happiest i’ve been in a long time,” he further informed his fans.

Apart from being in the news for alleged drug use, the 28-year-old rapper had recently performed a good deed for a fellow singer, Gregor Hunter Coleman. Post Malone had the chance to watch Coleman's performance at Glasgow's Wunderbar, and afterward, he invited the pop singer to meet him.

During the meeting with Malone, the excited pop singer, Coleman, made an interesting decision - he politely declined a drink offered by the famous rapper. His reason was that he was saving up money to buy a house. While some of his friends were surprised by his choice, Post Malone respected his decision and instead offered something even more remarkable to the aspiring singer.

Post Malone invited Gregor to sing at a party after his concert. When Post Malone asked how much Gregor wanted to be paid, Gregor said he would do it for free because it was a special chance.

Then something amazing happened! Post Malone, who won a Billboard Music Award, offered to help Gregor with the money needed for his house. The exact amount wasn't mentioned, but Gregor was very grateful and found the whole thing quite surprising.

Post Malone didn't buy Gregor a house, but he did give him a lot of money to help with the house's down payment. Gregor was happy to receive such a generous gift.
