Everybody thinks back to some point in their life with a fondness that they don't feel for any other period. That's what makes nostalgia so awesome. It can take you right back to that moment in your life and let you pick up right where you left off. Today I am going to show you a few images that are sure to get those way back when juices flowing.
Prepare For Nostalgia Overload That Will Send You Right To Feelsville.
#1 Flinstones Vitamins.
Who doesn't remember those awesome Flinstones vitamin commercials that used to air? Everyone can remember the song at the end of the commercial. Some of you are probably singing it right now.
#2 The Nintendo Entertainment System was everything.
There was no feeling quite like chilling in front of your TV and playing Mario or duck hunt. It was just a magical feeling that is hard to explain.
#3 Time to go to bed.
For people in my age range seeing this guy on TV meant it was time to go to bed. If you stayed up you were in for nightmares. It was just something about that music and his creepy voice.
#4 The greatest chip ever.
These were quite possibly the best chips ever. Much better than Doritos could ever dream of being. I wish they would bring these back. Let's start a petition.
#5 Kinda glad this one's gone.
The cartridge pencil was a cool idea and all but once you lost one of those cartridges it was all over. A massive design flaw that was given a painless death once mechanical pencils were introduced.
#6 Remember having to buy a web browser?
Back in the day, there wasn't any going to google and downloading chrome. If you wanted a browser you had to dish out money for one just like everything else during those days.
#7 The poor mans GameBoy.
Handheld games were all the rage back then and Tiger was the king of the bootleg affordable handheld game that no one really wanted but everyone got. We were just kids, we couldn't demand a real GameBoy. It wouldn't get us anywhere.
#8 Long before internet walkthroughs.
Back in the early days of gaming if you wanted to figure out how to solve a puzzle in a video game or where to go in a maze you had to write it down yourself. Document your path or be stuck forever. The choice is yours.
#9 The right stuff.
Kids and teens in the late 80's and early 90's couldn't go anywhere without being bombarded with New Kids on the Block. Where were you when you first heard their brand of pop?
#10 This is what joy looked like.
The picture below shows the joy that we all felt when we opened that one gift that we all wanted. It was a much simpler time and we were much more appreciative of things than kids are today.
