Proud Cat Parent Holds Two Guinness World Records.

It is said that cats were worshiped by the ancient Egyptians, and if you're the owner of a feline, you can see why this is true. Cats can be very affectionate, and incredibly loving, at times. But in most cases, cats are bossy, prissy, and honestly, do whatever they want. A lot of people tend to think they're tiny assassins of cuteness. No matter what you think of them, the truth can't be denied. Cats are crazy creatures, but they're insanely adorable and unique. In fact, some are so unique they can even win awards, just like the cats in this story.

#1 These human parents are pretty much proud and they show it every chance they get.

#2 They live in a household with two cats holding records in the Guinness book of records!

#3 Cygnus is an unbelievably handsome Maine Coon Cat!

Cygnus lives in Southfield, Michigan with his human companion, Dr. Will Powers.

#4 Dr. Powers said:

"He's exceedingly friendly, and almost like a Ragdoll when picked up. He just flops and lets me do anything to him like touch his belly or paws."

#5 Cygnus is incredibly unique.

So unique, that he caught the eyes of some pretty important people.

#6 Dr. Powers posted pictures of Cygnus online.

That's when he was contacted by officials from Guinness World Records. They noticed something incredible about Cygnus.

#7 Cygnus shares this loving home with another cat.

#8 Meet Arcturus he is also one of the most beautiful cats you will ever see.

#9 Their silver Maine Coon, Cygnus, holds the record for the cat with the longest tail.

#10 His tail is 17 and a half inches long or 44 and a half centimeters long.

#11 Cygnus is a record holder since the prior cat with the longest tail had only sixteen and a half long tail.

#12 The average cat has a tail length of twelve to thirteen inches long.

#13 Arcturus also turned out to be the longest cat ever recorded!

#14 The last time Arcturus was being measured he was 19.01 inches tall and he is still growing.

#15 They broke the records only being a year old.

#16 Dr. Powers said,

"Interestingly, each cat broke the record at only slightly over a year old, and still continue to grow, pushing the records farther and farther every day! They each hold both the 'Ever' record as well as the 'Living' record."
