Not everyone can go to private schools. Most of us spent our formative years stuck in those free government prisons that they like to call public schools. Sure it wasn't the best, but it wasn't all bad. Still, it left us all with memories that we will never forget. The following memes will take you right back to those good old days.

#1 The double standard.

Before uniforms because a thing in public schools the dress codes for guys and girls seemed to be pretty unfair for the ladies while it was very lax for the men.

#2 Trying to get your pencil without disrupting class.

If you dropped your pencil in the middle of class you did your best Neo in the Matrix impersonation to drag it back to you with your foot without ever leaving your seat. This was actually more of a distraction than you getting up would have been.

#3 The pranks, omg the pranks.

This prank is pretty freaking extreme but who doesn't remember pulling a good prank on one of your classmates or a teacher if you were brave enough.

#4 Jeopardy was life.

If you had a big quiz coming it there was a good chance that you would end up doing a classwide jeopardy review. These were some of the most intense battles you could have in class.

#5 That look on the teachers face.

Everyone knows this look. If you don't then you didn't go to public school. This is the look of a teacher who is content to just chill right where he's at until you shut the hell up and let him teach.

#6 Students knew that the teacher was loosing their power by the second.

By the time there were only around 10 minutes left in class everyone was starting to put their stuff away. If they had another class after that one they did it so they wouldn't be late to their next class (since some teachers are asses about that) but if it was the end of the day they did it so they could dash out the door to be free of school.

#7 It's a public school thing.

If you heard this sound you knew that shit was going down somewhere.

#8 I don't miss this at all.

Getting a face full of teacher ass because the desks were so close in the classroom that the teacher had barely any room to walk by is not a fun memory. Stupid overcrowded school.

#9 The lunch of champions.

If it wasn't chicken nuggets it was square pizza. Either way, if one of those two things were on the menu it was time to throw down at lunch.
