The group is returning as a trio instead of its original six members
Jessica Sutta, a former member of the Pussycat Dolls, has shared her thoughts on why she believes she was not included in the group’s upcoming reunion tour. She spoke openly about the situation and what may have influenced the decision.
The Pussycat Dolls surprised many fans when they announced plans to reunite for a world tour. This marks their first major return in more than 15 years, which made the news even more significant for longtime listeners.
Their second and final studio album, 'Doll Domination', came out in 2008, and the group later split in 2015. While the reunion itself caught attention, many people were even more surprised to learn that not all original members would be returning.
The group will now move forward as a trio instead of the original six members. The lineup includes Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt.
Fans quickly shared their opinions online and started to speculate about why the group chose to return with fewer members. In response to this, Sutta has explained her own view on why she was left out.
Why Jessica Sutta thinks she isn't part of the Pussycat Dolls reunion tour
Speaking on the March 22 episode of The Maverick Approach podcast, she shared her perspective, saying: "I was a liability. I align with Bobby Kennedy, which is aligning with MAGA."
"Do I love what [President Donald] Trump is doing? Absolutely not. I do not believe in war. [But] we didn't have a chance for the [vaccine] injured community to get help without him."
Jessica Sutta's support of MAGA and Robert F. Kennedy Jr
Sutta has been open about her support for US Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. She has said that they share similar views, especially when it comes to medical topics.
She also explained that she has grown tired of being judged or criticized for her personal beliefs. Some of those views, she acknowledged, line up with MAGA supporters.
She continued: "People are screaming at me, 'You're MAGA, you're MAGA'. Yeah, I am. I triple down on it because I'm like, I'm so sick of people telling me who I should be."
When speaking about how she found out about the reunion, Sutta said that she and some of the other former members were not informed ahead of time. She mentioned that 'none of us were called' and said they felt 'blindsided', referring to Carmit Bachar and Melody Thornton as well.
'This is very bittersweet for me'
Even so, she shared that Nicole Scherzinger did reach out to her with a phone call, which she appreciated.
She said: "I don't plan to call her back. I love Nicole. This is very bittersweet for me. I respect her as an artist."
"I even cried with joy when she won her Tony [for Sunset Boulevard] just recently."
During a recent appearance on the Today show, the trio was asked why the other former members were not included in the tour.
Kimberly Wyatt responded by explaining how the group has evolved over time, saying: "I mean, it has been an ever-changing lineup, and you know, this is what it looks like now in 2026, and you never know what comes next."
"I think ultimately, we've got to protect our peace and when something like the Pussycat Dolls has so much history, we have ruptured in the past, and right now we are repairing, and we're sort of on the same page with that."
