Airports are not the most fun places to be. You can find the most aggressive or passive-aggressive people on Earth lurking around any corner. People who lack patience or just plain common decency are everywhere you turn. It does not matter if you are waiting on line to go to some exotic location or on your way to a big business meeting, these people make your time in the airport unbearable. It is bad enough that you have to deal with security rummaging through your luggage, but having to deal with ignorance from other people waiting to board their flight can be the worst part of being at the airport. We all just want to get in and out as fast as possible.

Most of us, knowing that being at the airport just plain sucks, try to make the best of being there. Some of us might hit the airport lounge and grab a drink to calm our nerves. Others take part in priority boarding so that they can skip the line and board quickly.

Unfortunately, many of us are unable to afford to bump our tickets up to first class in order to get that priority boarding luxury. That is reserved for those with fat bank or expense accounts. You know the ones. You see them in their business suits and briefcases instead of big bulky bags full of souvenirs and snacks. These kind of people are the ones you normally see glued to their iPhones as they make important business calls before their flight.

Those are the kinds of people you will usually find skirting the lines since first class gets priority boarding privileges. When Emmit E-class Walker proceeded to get in the priority boarding line in his hoodie, he looked a bit out of place. But, it was exactly where this young man belonged with his first-class plane ticket in hand. But, this did not stop another passenger making racist assumptions that he did not belong in the line.

"Excuse me," says the blonde woman in line behind Walker. "I believe you may be in the wrong place you need to let us thru. This line is for priority boarding." Walker was surprised by her assumption that he was in the wrong place. He believes her assumption was because of his casual dress and the color of his skin.

So, the music executive says, "Priority meaning first class, correct?" Where she replies, "Yes… now excuse me they will call Y'all after we board." With disbelieving passengers watching the whole scene unfold, Walker shoved his first-class boarding pass in the ignorant woman's face.

He calmly says, "You can relax ma'am. I’m in the right spot, been here longer, so you can board after me." Walker kept his cool and felt a sense of satisfaction come over him at how well he handled the situation, but the woman was not ready to stop her pursuit to board the plane ahead of him.

She proceeds to say to no one in particular, "He must be military or something, but we paid for our seats so he still should have to wait." She had no idea whether Walker paid for his ticket or not. She was making an assumption, again, based on how the man looks. In response to her snark, Walker says, "Nope too big to ever be in anybody’s military. I’m just a n*gga with money."

The passengers who were standing around the pair observing the banter broke out into applause. Walker was so proud of his story that he decided to share the encounter with his friends on Facebook. Facebook users applauded Walker for the way he handled this situation.
The post went viral and had 650,000 likes in just 24 hours. He has received the support of strangers around the globe. One user wrote in a comment to this post, "White privilege is something else!!!!! I’m glad you stood your ground!"
