A man who became known as the ‘Human Ken Doll’ has shared how he gave up on altering his face to start a surprising new chapter in his life.

At just 20 years old, Felipe Máximo made the decision to leave behind his old life of plastic surgery and begin anew.

With nearly 15,000 Instagram followers, the influencer gained a lot of attention through his dramatic transformation into the Ken-like figure.

However, Felipe recently moved from Peruíbe, a coastal town, to São Paulo.

He is now building a completely different life as a petrol station attendant in the bustling Brazilian city.

His journey to becoming Ken originally stemmed from his search for identity.

It all started as just a hobby. But things took a turn in July 2023 when he landed a job at McDonald’s.

After securing the job, he posted a photo of himself in the uniform, joking: "I look like a cartoon doll in this outfit."

Despite this lighthearted moment, Felipe soon found himself dealing with family issues.

This led him to make the tough decision to leave his coastal hometown, abandon his Ken persona, and start fresh.

Now, as he works at a petrol station, Felipe told G1 that he feels like he has been given a new lease on life.

He expressed his feelings by saying: "Like a phoenix, I died and was born again."

Even though Felipe has left the ‘Human Ken Doll’ image behind, he doesn’t have any regrets about his past.

Back in 2020, when he was just 16, he announced plans to undergo 42 surgical procedures to fully resemble the famous character.

Then, in September 2021, he shared on social media that he had decided to give up on the dream of body modifications.

He still occasionally channels Ken through makeup.

One person wrote: "You look amazing, congratulations Felipe... keep going."

Another chimed in with: "You are very hard working. Congratulations!"

And a third commented: "You will fly even higher with your effort... we are rooting for you."
