We have all had a bad experience or two at a restaurant. Maybe your server was rude, your order was wrong, or your food took forever to get to the table. When things like this happen, the restaurant manager will apologize and maybe even comp your meal or dessert. Then, we just move on with our lives. Things did not go that smoothly for one woman in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her bad dining experience really takes the cake. You will not believe what they printed on her check.
Restaurant Leaves Savage Message On This Woman's Dinner Check
#1
Anna Warrender, along with two friends, went to have dinner at a diner called Brewhemia in Edinburg. They said that the service was terrible. They waited 45 minutes for their meal, and when they were brought the dessert menu, they were told that they only had 15 minute to finish up.

Anna was just when she made her complaint. The restaurant apologized and offered her table a free bottle of prosecco that was worth $30. This sounds like a reasonable resolution, right? Wrong.

Even though the party spent £160 at the restaurant, there was a rude message left for her on the receipt. It was very clear, despite the apology and free bottle of prosecco, the restaurant did not feel they did anything wrong. Anna posted this picture of her receipt to Facebook. Check out what they put on her receipt under the complimentary item.

They found it perfectly acceptable to writt in caps, "PAIN IN THE A*S WOM". Now, the Brewhemia's website does say that the restaurant has a "passion for theatrics", this is just childish and absolutely ridiculous. Anna was not impressed.
#5
Anna took to Facebook to say, "Absolutely disgusted by the service experienced today in @brewhemiaedin. Food took 45 minutes and then we were told we only had 15 minutes left despite being given dessert menus. Then to top it off this was our receipt. Check out the complimentary items #paininthea*swoman." Anna's friends supported her wholeheartedly.

Since this incident, Brewhemia has offered Anna and her friends a full refund for their meal from that night, but we bet that they will not be returning to this restaurant any time soon.
Also, this is not the first time that Brewhemia has been accused of poor customer service. Months earlier, a man who was visiting Edinburgh for a birthday party was refused service because he had glitter on his face.

Danny Wylie, the manager of the restaurant, was made to personally apologize after the man posted his horrible experience to his Twitter account. Wylie claims that it was an isolated incident.
Drew Kerr is the man's name, and he posted, "Just told by the bouncer at @BrewhemiaEdin that the pub 'didn't want people like you with that on your face' in there. He was clearly unhappy at 'people like us' (direct quote) and let a very cute straight couple in right after us."
Brewhemia has only been open for less than a year, but it does not seem like they are off to the best start. We live in a world where everyone has a smartphone and social media. Bad behavior is not going to go unnoticed.
