A few weeks ago, in an episode of the well known American series, Riverdale star Lili Reinhart aka Betty Cooper had performed a sexy pole dance to join the biker gang Southern Serpents. She wore a black lace corset and matching underwear for the dance.

Later, it turned out that Victoria's Secret model Taylor Hill had modelled the same lingerie that Reinhart had worn during her performance. What is deeply saddening is that soon after the episode was aired, internet fans started to compare the two stars' bodies by circulating a side-by-side photo of Betty and Hill with cruel captions like "Betty VS Model" and "Who wore it better?"

The fan made collage got viral among the Riverdale fans and was eventually seen by Lili Reinhart. Although the mocking was quite harsh and insensitive but Reinhart did not let the ignorant words humiliate her. Instead of keeping quiet over the whole issue, the brave star chose to speak for herself.

"I think it’s time I finally said something about it. It’s disappointing. This photo is being posted by fan accounts. The same fan accounts who love to talk about the amazing female friendships on the show, girl power, Veronica’s inspiring feminism, body positivity, etc. And that is the most hypocritical shit I’ve ever seen," she wrote.

Reinhart shut the mouths of coward body shamers for comparing her body with someone else. "I do not have that model’s body. I’m fully aware of this," she wrote. "I don’t have a thigh gap... a 24 inch waist... toned arms or abs. I am not her. And how dare anyone assume that I should look like her."

The American actress wrote about body acceptance and called out for feminists saying, "It’s upsetting to see all these young women who proclaim to be feminists participate in something that represents the exact opposite. To them I say: You are the problem, don’t you get it? You are promoting the idea that this model is what all women should look like and that it’s not okay to look like anything else." She also said that "people who are commenting on this photo and weighing in on this poll are the ones who are comparing themselves to the model as well."

Lili hopes that people would stop sharing such "toxic" photos and criticizing others for their body shapes and sizes. The actress finished her strong message by writing, "I hope that this makes you reconsider the next time you feel the need to comment on another woman’s weight or figure."
