Robert Pattinson has finally reacted to Jennifer Lawrence’s hilarious confession that she once served him food straight out of her trash can — and his response was far more gracious than most people might expect.

Lawrence recently appeared on The Graham Norton Show and opened up about her friendship with the actor, who she got to know while working together on their new film, Die My Love. The pair quickly became close during filming, and Lawrence revealed that Pattinson had become “one of the girls” in her circle of friends.

One night, when she was having a cozy evening with her girlfriends, the Twilight star decided to drop by and join them — and that’s when things got a little unusual.

Recalling the night on the show, Lawrence said: "I had my girlfriends over. We were in our pajamas. We were watching Little Women. It was December."

Pattinson happened to be filming nearby and texted her right after wrapping up for the day to see if she was around.

"He was like, 'Hey, I just wrapped something like a block away from you,'" she recounted. "And I was like, 'Oh my God!' Because Rob is one of the girls. He wants to gossip. He just is one of the gals. So I was like, 'Come over!'"

But when Pattinson showed up at her place and mentioned that he was starving, things took a bit of a turn. Lawrence said she told him she had food, but what she didn’t mention at first was that the food had already been tossed out.

Laughing as she told the story, Lawrence admitted: "He goes to the bathroom, and I do have food, but it's in the trash. And so while he was in the bathroom, I was just, like, pulling food out of my garbage can."

Surprisingly, Pattinson didn’t seem to notice anything unusual about the meal — in fact, he apparently enjoyed it so much that he asked for seconds.

"I was like, 'Well, there is, but it's in the garbage,'" Lawrence said, recalling the awkward yet funny moment.

She explained that instead of being disgusted, Pattinson just shrugged it off and reached into the trash himself to grab more, showing he clearly wasn’t bothered at all.

After the story went viral, Pattinson was asked about it during an interview with Entertainment Tonight, and his response was perfectly in line with his laid-back personality.

When asked what he thought about the now infamous “trash dinner,” the actor said: "I thought it was delicious."

Then, with his signature sense of humor, he added: "She must have a really nice trash haul,"

The story didn’t stop there. During her chat with Graham Norton, Lawrence revealed that she and Pattinson have such a close friendship that nothing feels off-limits — not even questions about his ex, Kristen Stewart, or the time Donald Trump tweeted about their breakup.

"If you think I didn't ask him about Donald Trump tweeting about the breakup with Kristen? I mean, obviously," she admitted, though she kept Pattinson’s response private.

Lawrence did, however, give her own take on the situation, simply saying that “young people make mistakes,” keeping things classy and lighthearted as always.
