Robin Williams Widow Reveals Robin’s Final 3 Words To Her Just Before He Died
The actor died at 63 on Aug. 11 at his home in Tiburon, Calif. in Marin County.
Toxicology reports reveal antidepressants, caffeine, and levodopa, a drug used to treat Parkinson's disease, in his system.
When Robin Williams committed suicide in 2014, fans everywhere mourned his death.
In the first ever interview after the death of her husband, Susan Schneider Williams has decided to reveal what really killed the famous actor.
She revealed that Robin Williams had been struggling with a debilitating brain disease for years before his death in August of 2014.
In the heartbreaking video, Susan recounts the last three words that her husband said to her. She said that she was in bed reading when she saw Robin out of the corner of her eye. He approached her and asked if she wanted a foot massage.
And I said, 'It’s OK, honey. Not…you know, it’s OK. You don’t have to tonight.'
And I’ll never forget the look in his eyes of just, sad because he wanted to. And I wished…you know?
she said:
"Then he came back in the room a couple of times. Once to his closet. And he said…and then he laughed. And he said Goodnight, my love. And I said Goodnight, my love."
Susan vulnerably shares the moments she realized she had lost Robin.
Call me when he’s up, Susan recalls telling her assistant after leaving their home in the morning. And then she sent me a text and said He’s not up yet, what should I do? and I said Wake him! and then she called me back…. that twenty-minute car ride- I just screamed the whole way.
While Robin William’s death came as a complete shock to Susan.
She says they had actually been going through a harrowing medical journey for some time. "We were living a nightmare," she says.
Despite a long and well-documented history of depression, Williams' wife and the assistant said he never expressed suicidal thoughts or behavior.
A search of Williams' iPhone, iPad and home computer revealed no search histories for suicide or hanging. However, the investigator writes that he later watched the movie in question — the dark comedy World's Greatest Dad — and said the character's son was found "seated on the floor, leaning forward with a ligature around the neck secured by a belt" — very similar to the scene of Williams' death.
"It was not depression that killed Robin," Susan told People magazine in one of her first interviews since losing her husband.
"Depression was one of let’s call it 50 symptoms, and it was a small one."
Instead, she argued that it was a debilitating brain disease called diffuse Lewy body dementia (DLB).
DLB took hold of Williams and probably led him to suicide.
Susan went on to say that their marriage had been a dream. It’s the best love I ever dreamed of.
You know, it’s what I always dreamed a love would be, as just really based on, just honor, love, respect.
With so many celebrity relationships meaning nothing beneath the surface, it’s truly a shame that this genuine example of love was cut so short.
