Russian Man Bought 50 McDonald’s Burgers Before All Restaurants Closed

A Russian man is the happiest person on Earth after buying a huge stash of cheeseburgers before McDonald's stores close all around the country.

The bizarre picture shared on Reddit where the man gives a peek inside his fridge that is filled to the brim with burgers has gone viral on social media. 

But there is one pineapple and enough eggs for him to provide a healthy diet with all the junk.

Talking to LADbible, one of his friends detailed just how he went about getting his hands on a haul so large the Hamburglar himself would be seething with jealousy.

"He really just likes McDonald's and wanted to stock up," he said. “Hey bought mostly cheeseburgers, one of the cheapest items so he could buy in bulk.

"He spent about $150USD or 20,999.98 Russian Ruble on about 50 burgers.”

Now he is planning to sell some from the stash online and well with the crises going on, he is not the only one thinking like that.

Apparently, Macca's meals have already appeared on social media for sale at massively inflated prices after Russia's 850 McDonald's restaurants were ordered to shut.

After the news of the fast-food restaurant closing down across the country went viral, many people scurried to get hold of their favorite meal one last time. 

Lines stretched for nearly a kilometer outside some Macca's, with video footage on social media that showed car after car lining up in a Moscow drive-thru.

People were keen to eat Big-Mac before saying goodbye to the food giant and some were quick to buy it in bulk and make use of the chance to earn a quick buck by selling it online.

A meal with two burgers, two drinks, and a cherry pie, was being sold for a casual 7,500 rubbles.

The crazy Mcdonald's rush comes after CEO Chris Kempczinski shared an email announcing the temporary closure of all its restaurants due to the ‘unspeakable suffering to innocent people' in Ukraine. 

"The conflict in Ukraine and the humanitarian crisis in Europe has caused unspeakable suffering to innocent people," he said.

"As a System, we join the world in condemning aggression and violence and praying for peace. Our number one priority from the start of this crisis has been – and will remain – our people." 

Kempczinski further went on to state McDonald's has ‘provided immediate financial support to our team in Ukraine’, and that it is continuing to pay full salaries for Ukrainian employees as the conflict continues to unfold. 

The company has also donated $5 million to its Employee Assistance Fund, and supports ‘relief efforts led by the International Red Cross in the region’.
