Vladimir Putin has enough ammunition to destroy the entire US with four missiles only, says the Russian state media.

While talking to Yevgeny Popov, a talk show host on Rossiya 1 channel, Alexei Zhuravlev, a Russian politician and member of the State Duma, said, "there will be nothing left on the entire east and west coast."

"I will competently tell you, that to destroy the entire East Coast of the US, two Sarmat missiles are necessary and two missiles for the West Coast. Four missiles and there will be nothing left. They think the mushroom cloud will be taller than a high rise. That mushroom cloud will be visible from Mexico," he added.

"Don't delude yourselves. What should be said is that there'll be nothing left, no one harbors any illusions about it, that everyone will be fine in case of nuclear war. No one will be fine, but calculate it correctly," Zhuravlev added.

The politician further discussed the study that found that 40 percent of Ukrainians are against taking down Soviet memorials from the Second World War.

"Three-quarters of Ukrainians are against tearing down monuments, only 19 percent support it. If we re-install their brains correctly, 12-15 percent will also believe it shouldn't be done. So the maximum of 5 percent is incurable," he shared.

On 30 May, the EU leader agreed to ban around 90 percent of Russian oil by the end of this year.

EU Council President Charles Michel said the agreement covers more than two-thirds of oil imports from Russia.

"The decision will effectively cut around 90% of oil imports from Russia to the EU by the end of the year,"  Ursula Von der Leyen, the head of the EU’s executive branch, said.

EU Council President further shared that leaders have decided to provide Ukraine with a €9 billion (£7.6 billion) tranche of assistance to help improve the war-torn country’s economy. The new package of sanctions will also include an asset freeze and travel ban on individuals, while Russia’s biggest bank, Sberbank, will be excluded from SWIFT, the major global system for financial transfers from which the EU previously banned several smaller Russian banks.

“We want to stop Russia’s war machine,” Michel said.
