Scary Picture Reveals A Very Dangerous Animal Hidden In A Child's Bed That's Almost Impossible To See
An Australian family got the shock of their lives when they discovered something other than toys in their daughter's bed - and you'd need eagle eyes to spot the deadly creature.
Recently, a family from Queensland stumbled upon a surprise while inspecting their daughter's messy bed alongside her dolls and stuffed animals.
They found a snake nestled among the toys, and upon closer look, they identified it as a venomous red-bellied black snake, commonly found in the eastern parts of Australia.
These medium-sized reptiles are known for their black bodies with a red underbelly, as the name suggests.
According to the Australian Museum, they have a 'robust build with a head that blends into the neck'.
Australian Geographic notes that while these snakes are venomous, fatalities from their bites are rare.
Though they bite several people annually in Australia, there have been no recorded deaths.
Despite their venomous nature, red-bellied black snakes are generally shy and only become aggressive when threatened.
After the unsettling find, the Aussie family called in Snake Catchers Brisbane & Gold Coast to safely remove the unwelcome visitor.
Sharing a photo on Facebook of the snake amidst the girl's pink unicorn bedding, the snake catchers wrote:
"This Highly Venomous Red-Bellied Black snake was relocated from a child's bed this morning in Jimboomba after trying to blend in with some cuddle toys."
They also posted a video showing the snake being gently captured from the bed, placed on the bedroom floor, and then happily slithering into a large sack.
It's believed the snake entered the child's room through an open door of the house.
The incident has sparked a range of reactions from people online.
"Well I am not moving to Jimboomba in a hurry lol," one person joked.
"That's it I'm moving," another quipped.
"Oh hell to the no!! Nope nope nope," commented a third.
Others remarked on the snake's fortunate discovery and its surprisingly relaxed demeanor during its relocation.
"Wow, such a chill buddy! Getting into the bag by himself and all," observed one Facebook user.
"Pretty chill snake! Lucky it was found before the little girl gave it a scare," added another.
If you ever needed a reason to think twice about visiting Australia, this might just be it...
