Believe it or not, there are seven individuals in the world who have left scientists puzzled with their extraordinary 'superpower' abilities.
It turns out, that having superpowers isn't just a fantasy or something from another planet - there are real people on Earth who possess them.
These seven exceptional people have defied what we normally expect from human capabilities, and their 'powers' are nothing short of astonishing.

One of them is Prahlad Jani, also known as Mataji or Chunriwala Majaji, who lived from 1929 to 2020.
The Indian breatharian monk claimed he lived without food or water for an incredible 76 years, attributing this feat to the Goddess Amba, who he said provided him with water through a hole in the roof of his mouth.
To verify his claims, two tests were conducted.
The first in 2003 saw Jani in an observation room for 10 days, and the second in 2010 extended to 15 days.
In both tests, Jani neither ate nor drank nor went to the toilet, and astonishingly, his medical tests returned normal results.

Then there's Wim Hof, also known as the Iceman, famous for his incredible resistance to freezing temperatures.
At 64 years old, he set a Guinness World Record in 2000 for the farthest swim under ice, and another for the longest time in full-body contact with ice, lasting an impressive 44 minutes.
Scientists have studied Hof's unique ability to control his immune system and prevent illness after prolonged exposure to cold.
In 2011, Dr. Peter Pickkers concluded that 'through his meditation technique,' Hof's inflammatory cells were 'suppressed by more than a third to half compared to normal subjects.'
Dr. Pickkers described Hof's abilities as 'remarkable' and 'extraordinary.'
However, it's important to note that not everyone can emulate Hof's feats, as several people have tragically died trying to withstand similar cold conditions.

Natasha Demkina, a 37-year-old Russian woman, claims to have 'X-ray eyes,' enabling her to see inside people's bodies and detect issues with their organs and tissues.
Her ability has earned her the nickname 'the girl with X-ray eyes.'
In 2004, she correctly identified a sore ankle on a British TV host on 'This Morning,' and in 2005, she identified the medical conditions of four out of seven people in a test conducted by CSI researchers.
However, because she only scored four out of seven, some scientists doubted her abilities.
She also incorrectly identified issues with 'This Morning's Chris Steele's stomach, pancreas, and kidney stones, which has led to skepticism about her 'superpower.'
David Browning Smith - Rubber Boy

The 44-year-old, known as 'the most flexible man on the planet,' has earned the nickname 'Rubberboy.'
He holds a total of seven Guinness World Records for his contortion abilities, making him the most flexible person in history.
Smith's 'superpower' is somewhat more understandable to scientists, as he was diagnosed with a genetic condition called hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.

Then there's the 49-year-old British architectural artist known for his incredibly accurate photographic memory.
Wiltshire can draw entire landscapes from memory with astonishing precision after seeing them just once.
Ben Underwood

Underwood, who was diagnosed with retinoblastoma cancer in both eyes as a young boy and eventually had his eyes removed, claimed he could 'see' the world by clicking his tongue, similar to how dolphins use echolocation.
According to WebMD, the human brain can learn echolocation, however, Underwood's ability was considered particularly astounding.
Sadly, Underwood passed away at the age of 16 after his cancer returned.

The 81-year-old Vietnamese farmer claims he hasn't slept since 1973.
While most people would show severe signs of sleep deprivation after just a few days without sleep, Thai only reported feeling slightly 'grumpy' after an alleged 35 years without sleep, according to Giao Duc Thoi Dai.
Thai's case has not been extensively studied by scientists yet, but if they ever discover how he manages it, it would be fascinating to share his secret with the world.
