Reports suggest that Shakira caught Pique cheating on her with another woman and now the Waka Waka singer took to social media to put an end to speculation about their relationship and announce their separation.

Gerard Pique and Shakira first met while shooting the 2010 World Cup video “Waka Waka.”
This was love at first sight for the duo and they two began dating. Later they began dating and had two children together. Although the couple was never legally married but had been together since 2011 and now it is revealed that they are officially parting ways.
It is reported that Shakira allegedly caught the professional footballer cheating on her with another woman. Another cause for their split is alleged to be the Barcelona defender’s uncontrollable partying.
And now they both have announced their separation.
The Colombian singer, 45, confirmed that she is no longer with her footballer beau, 35, following an 11-year relationship and two children together.
Shakira's statement read: 'We regret to confirm that we are parting ways. For the well-being of our children, who are our highest priority, we ask that you respect their privacy. Thank you for your understanding.'
Reports suggest Gerard Pique has left the house he shares with the singer and is now living on his own in Barcelona.
In fact, Pique was also spotted partying with Barcelona teammate Riqui Puig and other friends. Hw was joined by other friends ladies, have also been seen staying out until 2 or 3 a.m.
The ex-couple welcomed two kids together, Milan, nine, and Sasha, seven, during their relationship.
After Gerard made his 600th appearance for Barcelona in March, Shakira marked the landmark with a heartfelt post on social media.
Gerard even made headlines after he claimed that playing against Espanyol was better than sex.
He said in an interview with YouTuber Jordi Wild: 'I'm happy that Espanyol has been promoted to the first division because that's how we play in their stadium.
'I like to go there, I get whistled at all the time. You laugh and the fans get even madder.
'There is nothing comparable in the world. I would say it's better than sex. I enjoy it a lot more than playing against Real Madrid.'
