To communicate with people who are far away we can use postal mail, but that may take a few days or more to reach the recipient. We could call them on the phone, if you happened to catch them near a phone when you call, you could have a conversation. Since the invention of e-mail, communication has gotten more efficient and faster!
You hit ‘send' after typing a message and an instant later your message is received!

Her husband had died from a heart attack, and he had been a very popular minister.

The letter read:
To: My loving wife
Subject: I've arrived
Date: January 7, 2016
"I know you're surprised to hear from me. They have computers here now and you are allowed to send emails to your loved ones. I've just arrived and have been checked in."
"I see that everything has been prepared for your arrival tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing you then. Hope your journey is as uneventful as mine was. P.S. Sure is hot down here!!!!!"
