#1 Brandie Skibinski from The Country Cook came up with a great recipe for a Red Velvet "Poke Cake."
She assembled the ingredients shown here, plus a few extra ingredients listed on the package's instructions. (Yes, cheesecake flavored Jell-O packs really do exist!)
#2 First, she prepared her cake according to the instructions printed on the box.
When the cake came out of the oven, she used a big straw to poke numerous holes into its top.

#3 Next, she mixed the boxed Jell-O cheesecake pudding according to the instructions printed on the box.
She poured the Jell-O over cake evenly, making sure it worked its way down into the holes.
#4 She put the cheesecake Jell-O topped cake in the fridge for 2 hours.
The cake will need to be completely cooled before starting the next step.

#5 She thawed out the frozen whipped topping and spread it over the pudding.
It's already looking great, but the best is yet to come . .

#6 She crushed a dozen Oreos in a freezer bag and sprinkled them over the whipped topping.
These might best be added immediately before serving, when they are at their crunchiest.

#7 Here's what the finished cake looks like.
Amazing!
