According to the owner of The Reptile Zoo, the colorful scales of this python come from the motley gene and the golden child gene and it is the sweetest and most friendly snake they have ever come across.

A stunning rainbow python has garnered attention on social media because of its shimmering rainbow-colored scales.
The snake named "MyLove" currently lives at The Reptile Zoo located in Fountain Valley in the state of California.

The reptile went viral on social media when the zoo decided to share beautiful footage of its shimmering scales on its official Instagram page.
In a post shared with the zoo's 738,000 followers, a hepatologist spokesperson wrote in a caption: "MyLove's iridescence just never gets old."

Another photo was shared later which was captioned:
"Here's a little appreciation post for one of the prettiest snakes in The Zoo. Not only is she beautiful but she’s an absolute sweetheart [...] there’s a reason we named her MyLove."
Internet is definitely in awe with the beautiful snake and people just couldn't get enough of the footage and the viral post now has been shared on multiple social media platforms.

Speaking about the beautiful snake that has gone viral, The Reptile Zoo founder Jay Brewer in a later interview told Fox News that MyLove was bred in captivity and that her colorful scales come from the motley gene and the golden child gene.
Brewer stated that MyLove was an uncommonly friendly reptile, stating that: "She’s a super, super sweet snake. Her disposition is one of the best I’ve seen.
"She’s probably one of the most famous snakes in the world. She’s really, really made it big on the internet."
