Can you imagine being so upset by a bad review that you'd travel over 500 miles to confront the person who wrote it?

It's hard to believe, right? But that's exactly what happened in a shocking incident captured on CCTV.

An online clothes vendor took drastic action after a customer complained about a delayed order.

According to local media reports, a young woman had voiced her dissatisfaction after her clothing purchase was delayed.

This infuriated the vendor to the extent that he decided to travel a considerable distance to “teach her a lesson.”

The vendor, identified in reports as Zhang, was caught on camera in the act of assaulting Xiao Li.

This occurred as she waited on the streets of Zhengzhou, in eastern China's Henan Province.

Li had been expecting her clothing package, which was already four days late.

In response to the delay, she did what many frustrated customers would do—she left a negative review on Taobao, the online marketplace where she made the purchase.

Unfortunately, the vendor's reaction was extreme.

He responded by threatening her life, outraged that his online rating had been negatively impacted.

The situation escalated further when Zhang decided to confront Li in person.

CCTV footage shows him aggressively approaching her while she was looking at her phone.

He then began to viciously kick and slap her, causing her to fall to the ground.

After the attack, he walked away, leaving her injured on the pavement.

Li's injuries were serious enough to require hospital treatment.

She was treated for a concussion among other health concerns.

While recovering in the hospital, Li received a chilling message from Zhang.

He admitted to traveling all night from Suzhou, over 500 miles away, specifically to confront her.

His message disturbingly noted that he came to “teach her a lesson” for her negative review and ominously warned that he could attack her again.

The police have acknowledged that they are looking into the case, although they have not provided detailed comments.

It's still unclear if Li ever received the clothes she originally ordered.

This incident isn’t an anomaly. There have been other violent reactions to negative reviews.

For example, last September, a man in Changsha was nearly beaten to death by a restaurant owner after his wife left a bad review of the restaurant.

The owner expressed fears to the police that even one negative review could tarnish his business's good reputation.

In another incident, a delivery man in Hainan assaulted a woman on the street.

He was worried she might leave a bad review because he failed to deliver her food on time.

What’s going on here? Shouldn’t the focus be on providing good service to avoid negative reviews in the first place?

Delivering on time seems like a much simpler solution than resorting to violence.

Honestly, just deliver the goods on time!
