A woman who openly calls herself a serial mistress has shared what she believes are the most obvious signs that a partner might be cheating. Her comments come from years of her own experiences dating men who were already married or in long-term relationships.

With Christmas getting closer, many people are gearing up for a busy season full of events and family gatherings, while others use this time of year to unwind and enjoy simple pleasures. It is a mix of stress and calm, depending on the household.

According to Gweneth Lee, this season can also be when some married men choose to have affairs, often without their partners realizing anything is happening at all.

Speaking to MailOnline, the 57-year-old explained that these relationships often work well for both sides. She enjoys the fancy dinners, gifts, and attention from the wealthy men she sees, while they get the intimacy they feel is missing at home.

Lee said the men she dates tend to be more relaxed afterward because someone else is giving them the affection they want, something they are no longer getting from their wives or long-term partners.

She even mentioned that, in one case, a man she previously dated named Philip ended up pestering his wife far less once he began seeing her, which she believed made his home life calmer.

She said: "It means she gets to do the things she enjoys with him – walking their wolfhounds and playing family board games – without having to worry about rounding off the day in the role of goddess in the bedroom."

"I know from my friends – some of whom, jokingly, ask if I'd be willing to 'service' their husbands – that it's very rare to still want to be hanging from the chandeliers after 30 years of marriage. Particularly at Christmas - the most stressful time of the year for many mothers."

Lee added that there are several clear indicators that a partner may be having an affair, and she believes these signs are often easy to notice once someone knows what to look for.

She said: "There are the obvious ones, like keeping his phone face down at all times. But also, if he starts wearing better underwear and socks. Oh, and if his usually neglected nethers suddenly appear well-groomed with a shaver... that's a classic tell."

Along with her advice, Lee also talked about why she chooses to date married men so often. She said she is not interested in pursuing a traditional relationship and prefers the freedom and lifestyle that come with her choices.

She explained that she has found a rhythm that works for her, and she doesn’t feel drawn to the expectations or routines that come with monogamy.

She added: "I've always had a very high sex drive. Ordinary, routine sex just doesn't satisfy me – I crave excitement and unpredictability, something you rarely find in long-term, monogamous relationships."
