Pearl is a mother of two who got laid off from work and had no way to pay her bills. A chance encounter with a former landlord, 26 year old Rafael Trevino, changed her fate.

Pronto Insurance was running a contest called 'Pay It Forward' where the winning recipient received $400. Pearl nominated Rafael and won.
#4 Rafael Surprised
Rafael thought he was coming over to fix Pearl's doorknob, but was surprised by the television crew in her apartment.
#5 Awarded The Money
Pearl filled Rafael in on the contest and told him that she nominated him and that they won. She handed him the money. There are some good people left in this world. He doesn't charge his tenants late fees, and works 12 hour days to help provide for those who can't provide for themselves.
