A single mom who’s gained a following online is facing criticism after she sought financial assistance for her family of four but then disclosed that she had spent a staggering $17,000 in a single month.

Adrielle Sigler, a mom based in the US, reached out online, asking people to chip in to support her move with her three kids.

At the same time, she admitted to having spent a whopping $17,000 on various living expenses in just one month.

She turned to a GoFundMe page to seek help, but only three days prior, she had shared a detailed list of her April expenses on her TikTok account, revealing the significant amounts she was spending.

Breaking down her expenditures, Sigler shared: "This month I spent close to $17,000. I'm a single stay-at-home mom of three, which means I'm entirely responsible for my three little ones.

"As any single mom supporting three kids knows, some months are tough—rent comes due, and something goes wrong with the car—you can end up spending $15-$20,000."

She further clarified the $17,000 expense to her followers, explaining that she pays her rent upfront and spent nearly $5,000 on car repairs.

Additionally, she had to shell out another $1,000 for a rental car while hers was in the shop.

Sigler also detailed more of her spending, which included $1,600 on summer clothing for her kids, $3,000 on groceries, $800 on DoorDash and eating out.

Additionally, she mentioned spending money on Amazon for beauty products, household items, and supplements.

Facing a dire situation after her son was allegedly attacked after school, Sigler created a GoFundMe account asking her followers for donations to help relocate her family from Jamestown, New York.

She set a goal of $30,000, writing: "Our lives have become at risk living here. We need to move immediately. My son was brutally assaulted on May 2, 2024,"

She pleaded: "Please help us move as soon as possible."

One TikTok user expressed disbelief at the GoFundMe request, saying:

"The audacity to create a $30,000 GoFundMe when she posted a video talking about how she spent $17,000."

Others accused her of misusing the requested funds and exploiting her son's alleged attack to raise money.

Following the backlash, Sigler has disabled comments on her social media accounts.

A drama content creator known as ConspiraTea @conspirateatime on the app, analyzed Sigler’s financial disclosures about spending $17,000 in a month—an amount she defended as necessary to provide for her children.

"Adrielle Sigler saying she spent $17,000 in ONE MONTH but has a Gofundme up for $30,000 Obviously, she could be lying, but this isn't the first time that she has bragged about how much money she makes off of this app. She also tried to move in 2023 and has had previous gofundme accounts."

ConspiraTea noted that while Sigler claims to prepay several months' rent, she hasn’t disclosed the actual rent costs.

ConspiraTea’s followers were astonished by Sigler’s expenditure, expressing their thoughts openly:

One commented, amazed at her income as a stay-at-home mom: "But how? Where’s the money coming from?"

Another was shocked by her food expenses: "$3k on groceries AND DoorDash??"

"$17,000 would change my life. Omg," another remarked.

"Spending $1600 on summer clothes and $3000 on groceries seems excessive!" another user commented.

One viewer felt the impact such an income could have, saying: "I’m a single mom and the way my life would change if I had 17k a month to spend."

Finally, another person was incredulous about the amount of food a family could consume: "$800 on DoorDash is absolutely insane. And $3,000 a month for groceries. There is no way 3 kids and an adult go through that much food."
