They always say it takes a village but what do you do if your village doesn't have the best judgment?

This Redditor asked whether she was in the wrong for telling her sister to stay away from her baby after she almost drowned her for a TikTok.

OP had her first baby rather young and decided to move into her mother's home with her boyfriend for help with raising her.

Her sister had also moved in around that time and was working remotely.

When OP asked why her sister had also decided to move in, she said it was to help OP until she had to go work in person. With OP and her husband working long hours, the help was much needed.

OP even offered to pay her for her babysitting duties but her sister always refused.

It was on a family lake day that this smooth running operation suddenly hit the brakes.

OP and her boyfriend were unable to attend but her sister volunteered to take the baby along. OP received pictures throughout the day but felt something was off when her daughter looked distraught in one of the images.

OP found out later that the reason her daughter was upset was because her sister, along with two teenage cousins had recreated a very dangerous video of a baby almost drowning. She had willingly thrown the baby into the lake where she may have drowned for laughs.

OP was horrified as she saw her daughter sink beneath the surface without her floaties in the video. What was even more horrifying was the fact that her sister and cousins were laughing throughout.

When OP confronted her sister, she was met with nonchalance regarding the situation. Sierra accused her of being a helicopter mom and claimed her daughter was never in trouble.

OP decided to move her daughter into daycare since she could no longer trust her sister.

Things came to a boiling point when her sister asked to take her daughter to the park but OP refused.

The two had an argument with her sister saying that she was overreacting.

Some said that going no-contact would have been an even more appropriate reaction.
