A customer who was charged every time a waiter brought items to his table has gotten angry at the bar.

Galey Hermoso visited the Imperial Bar in Zamora, Spain, last year and had a meal and a few drinks there.

He was astonished, though, to see on the bill that he had been charged for more than just his orders.

Mr. Hermoso stated on Twitter that the waiter always added 20 cents to his bill while bringing over items like coke or some tapas.

The bar's decision to charge him one euro for some cutlery, he claimed, was the "final straw."

Calling out the eatery, Mr. Hermoso said: "Something strange happened to us a few days ago in Benavente.”

"Every time the waiter came to the terrace table to bring something: beer, the tapa... he charged us 20 cents.”

"The last straw was the euro that he charged us to put some cutlery to cut a toast that we had ordered."

After the post, several individuals joined to support the disgruntled diner.

One user said: "The cutlery then was to taken away just like the food you carried in your belly? I would have taken it, they have sold it to you, because, by that rule, they should have also charged you for the plate of toast, the glasses of beer, etc. I think the cutlery is yours."

Not everyone, though, was as outraged by the charges; others claimed they were accustomed to this kind of service and had no trouble paying it.

"I would say that it is misunderstood, since I was a child, any product consumed on the terrace was charged more expensively," put one.

While another added: "The cutlery isn't, but that they charge terrace service for each drink is normal. You can also drink inside and they don't charge it, they have to pay for the terrace."

Spanish News Today reports that the bar justified its stance by asserting that it was standard procedure to charge more for service received outside of the bar.

Two American tourists who were charged $613 for two cocktails and some crab legs filed a lawsuit against a Mykonos bar earlier this year.

The DK Oyster bar on Platis Gialos beach is where Brenda Moulton and her 19-year-old daughter Kaylea allege they were "lured" in before being "overcharged" for their food and beverages.

The two shared a mojito and some crab legs before being horrified to see a bill for almost $531 plus an obligatory tip of $81.
