A TikTok challenge that makes use of a chair reveals that apparently, our bodies can't really do the same thing. Read more to see if men really can't do this challenge that's so easy for women to do.
A TikTok challenge has men stumped and women amused.
popularised by the name of the 'Chair Challenge', the challenge constitutes bending forward horizontally, placing your head on the wall, picking up the chair or stool directly underneath you.

Then you just stand up still holding on to the chair.
Easy enough right?
Well, apparently not.
Turns out men can't really do this simple action. As soon as this difference between our bodies was revealed, people took to testing the theory out on their own.
Men were clearly befuddled as to why it's so hard to stand back up.
It almost seems like their body gets locked into position and they can no longer rise back up.
Physicists however have an answer. They say it could be two things that are connected to each other. The first one is that women generally have smaller feet than men.
These smaller feet move the centre of gravity to a lower point.
Other than the centre of gravity, men are generally taller. this means they are farther away from the wall and are bending down further than women in this scenario.
Science aside, it has turned into a fun little experiment for people to test out with women enjoying their natural flexibility and men windering whether they might be the exception to the rule.
And while we don't know when the trend started on TikTok, the challenge itself isn't new. Here's a 1971 show trying the same trick.
