The Obamas will be saying goodbye to the White House at the end of January.

They haven't announced their plans for the future, but they will keep a residence in Washington D.C.

The new home is located in the Kalorama neighborhood.

As you can tell by the photo, the neighborhood is upscale with large, beautiful houses.

The house is surprisingly close to the street for such a high-profile person.

Luckily, all former presidents receive lifetime protection from the Secret Service.

The house features a large patio for outdoor entertaining.

We're guessing there will be quite a few barbecues with the Bidens back here.

The decor is a little stiff, but at least it's not overbearing.

The Obamas will probably make quite a few changes once they move in.

Most of the rooms have large windows that help fill the house with natural light.

If all those windows make it chilly in the winter, there's a fireplace to warm things back up.

This another sitting room with great light.

We bet the president is dreaming about the days when he can read a newspaper on the couch with few worries.

There are hardwood floors throughout the home.

After hearing Bo and Sunny click clack over them all day, the Obamas may consider putting more carpet down.

There is a large family room downstairs.

With Malia and Sasha headed to college in the near future, the president may be able to convert this to a man cave.

Because real estate is at a premium in D.C., the kitchen isn't quite as spacious as you might expect.

It is much longer than it is wide.

If there's not enough room in the main kitchen, there's also one in the laundry room.

Being able to cook while you wash clothes is a nice luxury.

The master bedroom is simple and small.

It commands a great view of the neighborhood from its stylish windows.

One of the most unique rooms in the house is this dressing room.

We think we'd enjoy getting ready in the morning if we had this well-lit and spacious room to do so.

The bathroom may seem a little spare compared to the rest of the house.

Luckily, this is just one of 9.5 bathrooms in the house.

There are nine bedrooms in total in the house.

That means that when Malia comes back to visit from Harvard, she'll have plenty of room for friends to sleep over.

In addition to the patio, there is a decent-sized yard in the back.

We hope there is a fence so that Bo and Sunny can roam.

We expect the studious president to spend a bit of time in the office.

It's not quite as grand as what he's used to, but we think he'll manage.

Michelle and Barack might have to fight over who gets which office.

This one has a fireplace and a flatscreen television, which makes it a little more desirable.

The dining room is located just off the kitchen.

We expect this table to see some serious A-listers in the near future.

We hope the Obamas have a smooth and easy transition to civilian life.

After a long eight years, they deserve a nice break.
